The two main works in the concert will be Jonathan Dove's The Passing of the Year ("beautifully conceived music, soaring to a glorious, bright climax") and the popular Charles Stanford's Songs of the Fleet, Two shorter works will be Haydn's Insanae et vanae curae and the beautiful Elgar's Lux Aeterna which uses the tune 'Nimrod' from his Enigma Variations. The choir will be accompanied on the piano by Rachel Fright. There will be also be a professional baritone to sing some solos.
